Introduction to medical Spanish
|
*Although an intermediate Spanish language proficiency is required to participate in
medical shadowing, participants can start out with only group Spanish classes and
commence medical shadowing once an intermediate Spanish level is achieved.
The medical Spanish program we have developed for medical students and professionals combines an intense
Spanish immersion program with medical-specific Spanish and cultural training. Group Spanish classes never
have more than six students, and are taught by experienced college-educated Spanish teachers. After your
morning classes, you will find yourself engaged in a wide variety of medical-oriented activities in the afternoon.
The medical shadowing component allows participants to shadow a local doctor in a hospital or clinic, two times a
week for up to four hours per session. We also offer private lessons (click here for more info) with a special
emphasis placed on medical terminology and mock-clinical situations.

Private Medical Spanish Lessons
|
- A popular supplement to our Argentina medical Spanish program is medical Spanish private lessons.
- These 1-on-1 private lessons focus on crucial vocabulary, verbs, and other tools to properly serve Spanish-
speaking patients.
- Participants can choose the frequency and number of hours of private lessons they would like (Typically two
sessions of 3-4 hours per week).
- For more information about the content and structure of these programs, please click here (Microsoft Word
document).
